José Alfredo López Olvera was born in Mexico City in 1989. He studied his BSc in chemistry at Facultad de Química (UNAM) in 2016. A few years later, in 2018 his got a Master of Sciences degree with honors at Institute of Chemistry (UNAM), the two degrees his obtained were under supervision of Dr. Braulio Rodriguez. Nowadays he is working with Dr. Argel Ibarra Alvarado research group, carrying out the design and synthesis of new organic linkers based on carboxylic acid and azo-compounds for the construction of new Metal-Organic Frameworks and Metal-Organic Polyhedra.

In his free time, Alfredo enjoys playing football soccer videos games and spend time with his girlfriend watching movies and drinking a lot of beer.
