Dr. Ateet Dutt’s Lab
We are a multidisciplinary research group focused on developing different 0D, 1D nanostructures for targeted applications such as Solar cells, luminescence devices, sensing (gas and biosensors), and catalysis. Recently, we have been more interested in developing 1D nanomaterials, and we are looking for active collaborations to explore the potential of these materials in the energy and health sectors.

Dr. Ateet Dutt
Principal Investigator
Ateet Dutt got a Bachelor's in Technology (B.Tech) degree from Punjab
Technical University (2009) and Masters in Nanotechnology (M.Tech)
from VIT University, India, in the year 2011. Afterward, he obtained his
Ph.D. in Electrical engineering (Solid-State Electronics) from
CINVESTAV, Mexico City (2012-2015). He also did two years of Post
Doc research at the Institute of Materials Investigation, UNAM (2016-
2018). One of his Mexican patents is granted in 2022. He has participated
in more than 100 international conferences and is awarded as a member of
the System of National Researchers (Mexico) awarded by the National
Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACyT). His primary
research is focused on developing silicon, zinc oxide, and MoOx thin films for various
optoelectronic applications like the possible development of LED´s, third-generation solar cells,
catalysis (hydrogen production), biosensors, and gas sensors, among others.
