Valeria Belén López Cervantes

Valeria Belén was born in 1996 in Mexico City. From 2011 until 2014 he studied at Antonio Caso high school of the UNAM. In 2014 she began her studies at the Faculty of Chemistry of the UNAM.

She loves science and she has participated in some short research internships:

- In 2014 she participated in the research group of Dr. Carmen Duran in a project to make biodegradable chitin sponges with the interest of replacing the use of unicel in food packaging.

- In 2015 he participated in the research group of Dr. Lino Trejo in a project that used melon waste to obtain biodiesel.

- In 2016 she participated in the research group of Dr. León Cedeño in a project to synthesize esters through principles of sustainable chemistry.

- In 2017 she joined Dr. Ibarra's research group to study PCP materials for CO2 adsorption. She obtained her BsC degree in Chemistry in February 2019.

- By August 2019, she started her master's studies in Materials Science and Engineering at UNAM in the Dr. Ibarra's group to continue her studies in the application of MOFs for the capture of toxic gases.

Valeria also loves music; from 2006 to 2016 she studied piano and organ at the Faculty of Music of the UNAM. In her free time she likes to spend time with her family and friends.
