Jimena was born on January 29 th , 1997, in Mexico City’s Metropolitan Area. She studied the high school at CCH Naucalpan, UNAM. In August 2015, she began to study Chemistry at School of Chemistry, UNAM. Her research interestings include areas of Ambiental and Synthesis of Materials. She considers that these areas are important on applications and it is important to have solutions in their problems.

She did her thesis project at UNAM in the Dr. Ibarra's research group and obtained her BsC degree in Chemistry in 2020.

In the same year she started her doctoral studies in Chemistry at At Mississippi State University.

In her free time, she really likes to listen music and to learn about Mexican History. Her favorite activity is going to museums and learn about other cultures. In her childhood, she practiced Mexican Folklore dance, with her group, she had many performances.
